About Us
The Bartending Academy of Tacoma is the original Bartending School in the State of Washington, established in 1974. Our mission is to provide the most complete and comprehensive curriculum in the industry; giving our graduates the edge in this increasingly competitive field.
The Academy stays on top of the industry by updating the course and releasing a new drink book every 6-8 months as to be sure students are always learning about the newest & most popular products & drinks available.
The Bartending Academy of Tacoma has been providing Western Washington with talented and knowledgeable bartenders for nearly 32 years.
During that time the school has made quite a name for itself by placing thousands of graduates at over 800 different restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, cruise ships, casinos, golf courses, country clubs, catering companies and vacation resorts.
Students come from all over to have fun and be trained by our seasoned professionals. The alcohol beverage serving industry, combined with food service, forms one of the largest and one of the most profitable industries in this country.
Today the bar business is experiencing significant changes as the market becomes increasingly diversified and demanding. Consequently, the demand for more knowledgeable and skillful professionals has grown dramatically.
