About Us

The Professional Bartending School of Knoxville has been located in the Knoxville area since 1997! Our campus is the sister campus to the Professional Bartending School of Nashville. The Nashville campus has been the No. 1 Bartending School nationwide in the Professional Bartending Schools of America chain of over 80 schools for 11 out of the past 12 years.

David W. Edwards, assumed the position as School Director of the Knoxville campus in June 2011. David is one of the top school directors and trainers in the bartending school industry and has directed the Nashville campus for over 20 years. This is David's second stint as Director of the Knoxville campus. He had successfully operated the Knoxville campus from 2000 to 2005 and it was one of the top bartending schools in the country during that period.

David was excited about taking back over the Knoxville campus and taking it back to being one of the top schools in the P.B.S.A chain. David is also joined by his award winning job placement director from Nashville, Randy Jansen. Randy will help oversee the placement team in Knoxville which is led by the on-site Placement Director, James "Junior" Ellis.

The instructors at the Knoxville campus have had many years of bartending and instructing experience and are turning out some of the finest bartenders in the Knoxville area. Bartending is fun, flexible, and a high paying job that has proven to be a recession proof career. Our bartenders typically average $100.00 to $300.00 a shift and at the same time time get to have fun, meet people, and enjoy flexible hours.

The flexible hours allow graduates to be able to bartend while going to school (you're able to bartend at 18 years of age in Tennessee), work another full time job, or raise a family. Some people think bartending is only late hours but restaurants, hotels, and the airport have early hours so you are able to get up the next day and go to school or have a full time job too.
